I had a Little Mo Sectionals tournament on Saturday April 28, 2018. It was called, well, Little Mo! It was played in San Antonio. I was really exited to play in Little Mo! I think it will be a really fun and enjoyable tournament! It will release the happiness in me. My first opponent was Anna Darling. She made more unforced errors than I thought, so I didn't have to do much because she her errors. However, I still thought to be on top of my game and focus hard to be in the moment. Hitting a lot of angle shots also helped me. I won 6-0, 6-0. I only had one match because I had a bye, and that was my last match for Saturday. I have at least one more match on Sunday. Two at most, Semi-finals and Finals. I know I can, I know I will! It was Sunday morning, and I am about to start my second match. I watched some other matches and my brother's matches, so that I could get a few inspirations of some strategies and tactics. Soon after, they called my name for my match. My second opponent was Anna Soto. Anna hit the ball hard, but most of her shots were ending up in errors. I was lucky, I stayed consistent and steady, winning many points because I reduced my errors to a minimum. I won 6-1, 6-0. For the finals, I told myself, "It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's how you play." I was going to play the best that I could!
My opponent for the finals was Kenna Erickson. I played her before in other tournaments, she hit hard, so I needed to stay with her in the rally. I stayed consistent and patient waiting for the right moment to attack. I was fortunate enough to pull through, I won 6-2, 6-2. I was really happy that I made it all the way. It was a good accomplishment. It was a fun tournament that let out a lot of excitement in me. It was amazing! Thanks for allowing me to share my excitement, Karina Zaharieva |
