Who likes being recognized for their effort? Well, I think most of us do! You are basically getting recognized for your work and your effort. It's pretty awesome, if you ask me. This week I got a special notice for USTA Texas, a certificate in fact, for moving up to the next level--Championship Division!
I am now qualified for Girls' 12 Division in Championship level and other sanctioned Texas tennis tournaments! I'm feeling really accomplishing each step of the way when seeing that certificate. I feel like that I am getting noticed for the hard work I put in. It is like a spotlight shining on me, readying me to deliver even better performance. I really am inspired to be better and improve my tennis game. I've never gotten a recognition certificate this big before. It's a big deal to me! :-) All this meant is I have passed my tennis developmental phases and all the challenges in Green and Orange ball divisions. But, I know more challenges are coming my way pretty soon.
I realize that this is for me a whole another level of experience; the excitement, nervousness, happiness, and even some mixed feelings. Now, I have to fight for my wins even harder, and that's okay with me. Because knowing who I am, and knowing there's only one me in this world, I'll work to be the #1 tennis player.
